This reminder was delivered by YBhg. Dato’ Seri Mohd Khairi Bin Dato’ Mat Jahya, Chairman of the Mohd Khairi Foundation (YMK), during the Inauguration and Key Handover Ceremony of the Yayasan Mohd Khairi Surau.

In his officiating speech, he expressed his gratitude and joy over the completion of this new surau and conveyed a message to the YMK Surau Committee Members to make good use of the surau with various educational programs, which can accommodate approximately 800 congregants at a time.

This new surau was built to replace the old surau that had been used for years. The bustling activities and educational programs, alongside the congregation constantly packing the aging old surau, inspired YMK to construct a new surau that would provide greater comfort for the worshippers.

Construction of this new surau began on 1 Ramadan 1439H, corresponding to May 17, 2018, and was fully completed for use on 29 Jumada al-Thani 1440H, corresponding to March 6, 2019.

During the ceremony held last week, YBhg. Dato’ Seri Mohd Khairi Bin Dato’ Mat Jahya also presented a contribution of 500 copies of the Al-Quran Nur Karim to be utilized by the congregation of the YMK Surau
