Islam is a religion that places great emphasis on ties of brotherhood. Good and nurturing ties of silaturrahim (al-Wasil) further strengthen relations among Muslims. It is the aspiration of YBhg. Dato’ Seri Mohd Khairi Bin Dato’ Mat Jahya, Chairman of the Mohd Khairi Foundation (YMK)—who contributed the construction cost of this surau—that the establishment of Surau Mohd Khairi in Bukit Ketri, Perlis, will serve as a center to enhance ukhuwah (brotherhood) among the local Muslim residents.

May the Committee Members of Surau Mohd Khairi make good use of the surau with various educational programs, which can accommodate approximately 100 congregants at a time.

The Opening Ceremony of Surau Mohd Khairi, held on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, was also attended by S.S. Prof. Madya Dato’ Arif Perkasa Dr. Mohd Asri Bin Zainul Abidin (Mufti of Perlis) and the residents of Bukit Ketri.
